FREE Prevention, Trauma, and LGBTQ+ Comprehension trainings for agencies through HHC:SOC

Through a partnership with Hamilton County Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs and Hamilton Boone Madison Special Services, A Healthier Hamilton County: Systems of Care is offering three free trainings for Hamilton County agencies!

1) QPR: Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention - Three steps anyone can do to save a life. The QPR Institute believes that quality suicide prevention education empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know.

2) ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences): Building Self-Sustaining Communities - Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are potentially traumatic events in a child's life that can have negative and lasting effects on a person's physical, mental and emotional health. In addition, self-healing communities focus on the implementation of trauma-informed interventions, local policy improvements and paradigm shifts in how we assist children and families. Through self-healing communities and appropriate interventions, we can help individuals heal from Adverse Childhood Experiences.

3) LGBTQ+ Cultural Comprehension - What’s old is new again……

As society changes and grows, so does language, perception, and affirmation. This presentation focuses on terminology, language, creating inclusive spaces, and the relationship between affirming environments and safety.

If your organization or agency is interested in any of these trainings, or a combination, email Kristen at kludeker-seibert@hamiltoncountyphhc.org
