Last month, the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) launched the GLSEN Navigator to equip advocates with the information they need to support LGBTQ+ students in every state and territory. Based on 20 years of research, GLSEN identified four core supports that promote students' ability to thrive and reach their full potential: activating supportive educators; passing LGBTQ+ affirming policies; inclusive curriculum; and supporting student GSAs. The GLSEN Navigator provides information on policies needed to strengthen these four supports. It also includes state snapshots on the experiences of LGBTQ+ youth in K-12 learning communities.
