The Indiana Balance of State Continuum of Care (CoC) facilitates an annual application process for new funding for housing and services to support individuals experiencing homelessness in Indiana through the annual CoC competition.
Aany nonprofit, local government, or tribal entity is eligible to apply.
CoC Funding requires a 25% match and it is awarded and renewed annually. Projects must receive referrals from the Coordinated Entry System, abide by the CoC Program Manual, and all federal accounting and reporting guidelines.
Each year the BoS CoC has new funding available for new projects to apply, and once approved by the CoC board for funding, projects are submitted to HUD for consideration. HUD ultimately determines if a project is selected for funding, and CoC funding is typically announced in the first quarter of the year following the application submission. Last year the BoS CoC applied for more than $3.5 million in new projects.
Projects interested in serving youth and young adults are eligible to apply. If you are interested in learning more, please contact rsample@ihcda.in.gov.
