Indiana State of the Child

Commission on Improving the Status of Children in Indiana

On behalf of Indiana Youth Institute and the Commission on Improving the Status of Children, you are invited to attend the 2022 State of the Child on Tuesday, April 19, from 10:00 – 11:00 am, with coffee and a light breakfast served at 9:30am.

The 2022 State of the Child will be held in the Senate Chamber on the 3rd floor of the Indiana Statehouse.

As one of our state’s leaders championing issues related to the well-being of children and youth, we are inviting you to join us to hear the key data for Hoosier youth first-hand from IYI’s 2022 Indiana KIDS COUNT® Data Book. IYI’s 2022 KIDS COUNT® Data Book examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and continuation of racial and ethnic disparities in outcomes across all four domains – Family & Community, Health, Economic Well-Being, and Education.

The 2022 State of the Child will be simulcast live this year via this link. Click on “Senate Chamber” to view the livestream. Please feel free to share the webcast link with anyone in your network who is also invested in youth well-being but unable to attend in person.

To ensure we do not exceed our in-person capacity, we ask that you please RSVP via Eventbrite by Friday, April 15.

Beginning Tuesday, April 19, the 2022 Indiana KIDS COUNT® Data Book, Executive Summary, and County Snapshots will be available to download free of charge on IYI’s website, www.iyi.org/indiana-kids-count-data-book.
