Recovery Cafe - April Newsletter

From Joylynn Foli

Executive Director, Recovery Cafe Hamilton County

*It is with great pleasure that we reach out to you today to summarize and update you on our ongoing efforts to support individuals on their recovery journey. As you know, our café is a beacon of hope and healing for those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges, and we are committed to continuing to provide a safe and supportive space for all who seek our services.

As we look ahead to the coming months, we are excited to announce several new initiatives and programs that we believe will further enhance our ability to serve those in need. We are more committed than ever to supporting the health and well-being of all members of the recovery community. Follow us on social media for upcoming sober social events and new partnerships with local organizations and community groups.

*Our grand opening had an overwhelming response from the community with over 100 people in attendance that day. We received many compliments on the renovations, the Recovery Café model, and the overall atmosphere that day. We appreciate all the kind words we received. Our guest speakers included: Mayor Scott Fadness, Jay Chaudhary, Director Huntsinger, Jodi Miller, Beth Kreitl, and Brent Shopp. Their support and inspiring words remind us how warm the recovery community in Hamilton County is.

*We are excited to welcome Katy Dennison, our resource specialist to our team. She has a big heart for those struggling with recovery and is passionate to connect community resources with those in need. She will also be assisting those who are justice involved with our Member Financial Assistance (MFA) Program. Please reach out to Katy at katydennisonrchc@gmail.com if you would like to provide information about resources you have available or if you would like more information about the MFA Program.

*Since March 1st we have had 200 people enter our space. We are steadily gaining membership and are holding a volunteer orientation Sunday, April 30th at 11:30am. For anyone interested please email Bryan Beasley at bryanbeasleyrchc@gmail.com.

*We have recovery circles Mondays at 7:00pm and Thursdays at 5:00pm for members. Thursday nights at the café include live music or karaoke until 5:00pm and games from 7:00pm-8:00pm.

We encourage anyone curious about the Recovery Café Hamilton County to stop by and visit to check us out, grab some coffee and experience our humble community. We are truly grateful for your continued support and commitment to our mission, and we look forward to working together to build a brighter and more hopeful future for all.
