Carmel Police Teen Academy
June 19-23 or July 10-14
Participants will learn what it takes to become a Police Officer, and the many varied specialties that officers perform, including:
K-9 apprehension demonstration
OWI awareness
Close order drill
Physical fitness training
Crime scene preservation
Simulated firearm training
Defensive tactics
Traffic stops
County jail tour
Drone operations
Classes are from 8 am to 3 pm (Mon. - Thurs.) and 11 am to 5 pm (Fri.), with a graduation ceremony on Friday evening.
Application requirements:
13 - 18 years of age
No significant disciplinary problems
