1. Recognize and address biases, assumptions, and stereotypes about victims
2. Treat all victims with respect
3. Ensure that policies, training, supervision, and resources support thorough investigations
4. Appropriately classify, document, and clear reports
5. Refer victims to community services
6. Properly identify predominant aggressors
7. Implement policies to prevent law enforcement sexual misconduct and hold officers accountable
8. Analyze and act upon data collected on sexual assault and domestic violence cases
