Fishers Police & Fire Active Assailant Volunteers Needed

Please consider volunteering for this important event.

Description of the activity: The Fishers Police Department will be conducting a full-scale active assailant exercise. This will be a realistic training that will require selected Crisis Actors/Role Players to volunteer to play the role of an injured individual, deceased individual, and/or an individual in the area of the Active Assailant. We may use fake blood and fake wounds that will appear to be real. By signing the waiver, you are able to participate in realistic, stressful, critical incident training which may include allowing Fire personnel to physically assess, treat fake wounds, and transport you.

Description of Crisis Actor/Role Player: Due to the training requirements, multiple civilians are needed to volunteer in this realistic training as a crisis actor or role player ("Participant"). The Participant must be at least 18 years old. The Participant must be in good standing with Law Enforcement (No convictions of any violent Misdemeanors or Felonies) and must be mentally sound. The Participant must be willing to follow guidance from the instructional Officers/Staff and stay in the assigned roles and responsibilities.

Signing up: Below is the flyer to begin the two-step sign-up process. The flyer link/QR Code will lead you to a questionnaire, I/intel will vet you, and you will receive another link to sign up for the sessions as long as the vetting process checks ok. When you sign up for the sessions, you will learn the session times and actual location for this training. The location will be kept confidential for security reasons until closer to the training. We do not want to publicize the location and times before the final stage of the sign-up process because we don't want those who are not vetted showing up. As long as all of your teams have been vetted/background checks by you as leaders, we can skip the vetting process for all of your teams.
