National Bullying Prevention Month activities

Although October is almost at an end, it's an important month that recognizes about 20% of students will experience bullying in their youth. Of this percentage, 50% were bullied by peers who had more social influence, and 19% were bullied on school property. For additional statistics or resources, please consider visiting the National Bullying Prevention Center or StopBullying.Gov.

As we think about increasing a student's social awareness, and therefore their empathy and respect, it's important for us to understand how to respond to a student being bullied, and how to encourage actions that lead to a kind community.
