March is Women’s History Month, a month-long observance commemorating and encouraging the study, observance, and celebration of the vital role of women in U.S. history.
Every year the National Women’s History Alliance designates a theme for Women’s History
Month. This year’s theme, Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, celebrates and recognizes women who understand the need to eliminate bias and discrimination from individuals’ lives and institutions.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of Women's Health (OWH) promotes public health research and evidence-based programs, policies, and strategies to improve the health and well-being of women and girls and raises visibility of risk
factors and other conditions that impact women and girls’ health.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH)
strengthens and enhances research related to diseases, disorders, and conditions that
affect women.
