State of the Union - Mental Health


On Tuesday, March 1, President Biden held his first State of the Union address in which he announced strategy to address the nation's Mental Health crisis. In the attached white paper, issued prior to the address, the strategy is outlined with a significant focus on youth mental health along with addressing workforce capacity and training, certification for peer supports, crisis services, evidence-based practices, integration of mental health and substance use treatment into primary care, supports for schools, expanding early childhood service, and increasing services for justice-involved populations.
