The Alliance for Health Policy, in partnership with Arnold Ventures and the Commonwealth Fund, is pleased to offer a new, three-part series covering The Future of Medicare.
This series will provide foundational education about the mechanisms of the Medicare program, considerations for beneficiaries, and the tradeoffs of policy changes to the program. Attendance at each event is encouraged, but not required to register or participate.
April 22: Medicare 101
During this session, panelists will review the basic mechanisms of the Medicare program, with specific focus on traditional Medicare (Parts A and B) and Medicare Advantage (Part C).
May 6: Understanding the Medicare Population and Consumer Affordability
This session will provide insight into the Medicare population, enrollment trends, and affordability considerations for beneficiaries in traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
May 22: Policy Options to Promote Medicare Sustainability
This session will help attendees consider the implications of policy options to promote Medicare sustainability. Panelists will explore trends in Medicare spending; introduce key concepts related to Medicare financing and solvency; and explore the implications of policy options to promote Medicare sustainability.
